Pastor Joe Pratchard has been the Senior Pastor since Calvary Chapel Concord started in 1984. He has been married for over 40 years to his lovely wife Dottie. He has three sons and three grandchildren.  

He is a gifted teacher with a deep love for God and His Word. His compassionate heart and burden for the brokenhearted always makes him seek to help restore others in Christ.  In addition to being a Pastor, for the last 17 years, Pastor Joe has been serving his community as Senior Chaplain of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department.  

Pastor Joe never stops learning and training, currently he is pursuing a Master’s degree at Liberty University in Pastoral counseling and Crisis Intervention.

If Pastor Joe is not doing ministry, you will find him outdoors enjoying river rafting, a stroll on the beach or hiking the beautiful trails of the Bay Area.
